Track Challenge t

The OT Fitness Track Challenge, is a Track Meeting that focuses on mass participation rather than individual winners. With over 3000 students participating in the 2014 Pod meet series, this event is the perfect opertunity to introduce young students to the joy of track and field in a non-competitive format. Each school / Group / Pod will have a team size of 30 to 50 athletes. Each athlete will be placed in a group / Pod (age 11/12 – 12/13- 13/14) Each athlete will be given a number from 1-600 (depending on the total participants of each meeting). Each group will start at a given event and will rotate clockwise until all groups have visited each event.
Before rotating, each athlete will have the opportunity to participate at each event at least once or as many times as he or she wishes in order to better his or her results. Each group / Pod will have approximately 15 - 20 Min at each event before rotating to the next event.

This event can be organized as a non scoring or performances can be track for additional cost.

Over the past several years OT Fitness has been the go to company for the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) in the running and officiating of the pod meets and Provincial Championships for the grade 4 – 6 and 7 – 8. Pod meet director, Paul Slovenski (Bayview Glen) organized an indoor Pod meet at York University on on April 1st. This event involved 12 schools each fielding a team of 50+ student participation in 50m - 200m - 400m - 50 Hurdles - Long Jump - Triple Jump – Discus – Shot - High Jump and 4 x 100m relays with over 600 student participation each event.
